I think I'll stick to driving on normal roads after seeing this clip on www.i-club.com

A bit of track etiquette/common sense would have avoided all of this.
The same rules apply on the road... don't glue yourself to the back of cars that are pushing it.
And if someone is on your tail, they are quicker, so let them through.
All easily avoided.

I agree with Pete here...the yank barge was seriously holding the itr and the scoob up, but that's no excuse for staying up the ar$e of the car in front.
It's REALLY important for the people organizing these events to make sure that everyone understands this.
As Pete said, if someone is in the rear view mirror, and stays there, they're faster - move over.
There's really no need to "race" on a trackday, unless you're prepared to take the consequences.
Trackdays ARE fun, and can (and always should) be safe - all it takes is some common sense from all involved.

To me, it's not clear what happened. Did the yank barge brake causing the ITR and Scoob to take avoiding action? Or did the yank barge dump oil on the track? Why did the Scoob (presume it's a Scoob from the glovebox thing on the top of the dash) go off the track -- it didn't seem to be following too closely?
Which circuit is it that has road markings on it?

Where were the marshals and their blue flags? Reminds us all that even on the track you have to drive not only for yourself but for the other drivers too. Feel sorry for the Scooby driver though...

Looks to me like something "let go" inside the engine bay, looks like water/steam to me.. It's a dodgy thing having water/oil spilled on a corner when you're expecting full grip. EEK.
As mentioned above, the slower car was being discourteous, whereas the following car was being dangerous.

Defo oil on the track...and a lesson to all re following and the risks you take.
Whilst not funny, I love the edit of the video, the last phrase the driver said .... "son of a b1tch" -
