Red face

Wife managed to put her car (not a Scooby) in a ditch last night, thankfully her, our daughter are okay and currently sleeping..
As the wife is 12weeks preg too this was a worry but all seems okay....

Could have been a lot worse, it hit a fence which was at the bottom of the ditch and three of the posts tops hit the front of the car, first one went through the headlight and into the engine bay, second one smashed/cracked the windscreen at the bottom and third hit and cracked the windscreen at head level anic: :scary:

Could have been far worse had they gone through the screen.

Anyway.. filled in an online claim form with the insurance and then sat around for two hours.. no phone calls, no email, no real confirmation that the form was submitted properly..and no 'what to do next' info..

So I rang up and they say that there is a 4days backlog on claim forms at the moment and took my number and said they would get someone in the relevent department to ring me... so how long do we wait? where is the 'okay sir we will organise a loan car' etc..??? or am I expecting too much?
Policy is fully comp etc..

:annoyed:

Question

Tom (Rum) is probably the best person to talk to, i think his number/email is in the insurance forum.
Glad to see that your family are all ok though

Thumbs down

Although bizarrely they have said that due to the damage to the car they will remove it to free storage and to send them all the documents... almost as if it is written off, yet they have not sent anyone to see it just going from what I have said..

Nightmare.. dunno whether to go and buy a cheap run about until this is sorted out so that the wife has a car or wait to see if written off etc.. waiting to hear whether entitled to a loan car..
