Had tyres changed in Friday (17" SO2s - £499 fitted!!) fitter recommended running them at 40psi! Makes ride hard, but does improve handling, and sharpens turn in, although steering is lightened. Will reduce to 36 for next weekend to see what difference it makes and post!

Anyone else had experience of 40psi in 17"?

When I first got my car, the pressures were at 42psi. Handling was a joke.
Quick reduction to 34 did the trick.

apparently subaru/dealers originally set the pressure high to avoid the tyres deforming whilst the car is sat still.
