Question

As someone as tried to open my boot with one! They didn't get very far, but it was parked on a busy road in the countryside of Herfordshire!

Give me 30 seconds with them, and I'd show them how to use a screwdriver! ****ers!

Sorry, as this has put a dampener to very a good weekend!

Andy

PS - At least they didn't get into the boot! Just be careful where you leave your car!

Cheers Wrexy, no damage to the paintwork, only a damaged lock! (The key doesn't fit anymore!)

At least there was no damage to the bodywork which is the most important bit, apart from loosing anything to the scum. Good to hear m8

Cheers,

scumbags!
Might be a good time to blank off your boot lock, I`ve done mine recently.
Bit of a risk involved with a car without a folding rear seat, in case the cable release breaks.Looks much better though.
p.s
I might have some news about those mirrors on thursday, I`m going over to pick them up all being well.I just hope he`s done them by now.

I've seen an idiot with a screwdriver, 3 of them in fact, but they weren't in Hertfordshire!

Seriously mate sorry to hear that. I hope the barrel isn't damaged and that it's only the superficial bit on the outside.

Moz, just a quickie as I was talking about this last night with andy, but make sure with your de-locked boot that you don't flick the security catch on your boot locking mechanism otherwise it wont work from inside!

For my own info, is this Herefordshire or Hertfordshire?

PS: Bad luck mate -- I've sometimes been accused of being an idiot with a screwdriver, but I don't go in for opening other people's boots

For most UK owners, if this happens at least you can drop the back seats and unflip the catch. Particularly watch out if you've not got folding rear seats (e.g. RB5) -- there must be a way of disabling this catch somehow.

Thanks for the support guys!

Moz, I'll wait with baited breath!!!

Chris, the car is parked, and locked up!!!

Carl, it was the Herts/Beds/Bucks border! Near the canal in Marston?? Down the road from Pitstone!

What I don't understand is why my car! Surely they would assume it would be alarmed up, locked up and trackered up!! Which it was!! I guess some people are stupid, and shouldn't allowed the luxery of using tools!!

So to delock or not to delock, that is the question!
