No No No

I didn't make myself clear. Thats £2000 off the current dealer price which is currently £19995.

So £18000 for new WRX from a dealer

BTW I had a look at the site. Are these cars imports? Will they part ex with your old car? Most of the prices are £17699. You have to add "All vehicles are subject to an indemnity fee of £51.00 and a DVLA/Number Plate surcharge of £41.00 and 6 or 12 months road tax at current rates. By my reconing that brings to cost to £17941. Thats £59 cheaper. To me I would rather go to my local dealer, 2miles away, have a good chat and cup of cofee.

Question

Out of interest - are you lot the same ones who rushed out to buy the last Beta Video-Recorders because they were 'cheap'??

Look where they went to-the BIN!! ........................ these cars are cheap for a reason, its because they NEED to clear them!! WHY?? Well, a NEW one has come out because the old one was about as popular as a fart in a space-suit!!

Get your marbles together, dont buy yet, wait till they drop to £14995 - as they will - if you lot leave them alone!!

Pete

Yep, so its £19745 instead of £20745... Still another £2-3k cheaper to import one, and you'll still get the discount on the new shape

Ian from stn palmer subaru in carlisle has told me about this today. Not much saving buying an import when you can buy a UK car so cheap. I have heard from another source that there's loads of 5 doors unsold so maybe you can do an even better deal on the 'stealth' model!

WARNING - these cars will be worthless when 03 hits the streets - only buy IF you are going to keep it for ever - AND you dont mind driving one of the ugliest carbuncles on the road!!

I would own one if they paid me - but ONLY then! I would put my UK Standard Classic in the garage to increase in value!!

And you think the new one is better? I drove past mill lane and thought the MY01 actually looked OK, compared to the MY03.

Advert in the back of autocar mag is offering £4k off a WRX and £2k off the STi. Guess they heve to shift them before Feb when the MY03 hits the showrooms. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Add was in the back of Autocar magazine. I believe the discount is offerred against the list price of £22k for a WRX, bringing the price to £18k, if my maths is correct

It's in the back of the current edition, or maybe last weeks, not sure. Anyway, it's the copy with the MY03, Evo VIII and new Clio V6 on the cover.

I'll check when I get home tonight and post details here tomorrow.

Personally, I think it's a good deal.

100% true Dan. Until there is pre-tax price harmony across the EU, it will always be beneficial to import.
