My car was parked up this afternoon, as i was helping a mate of mine fit an exhaust to his car.
We are working away in the garage, and a guy from the bodyshop on the corner coems in and says "Thats's your Subaru parked outside there?" I think ahh they must need it moved, so go to pick up my keys, and he then turns and says "This is the Reg Plate of the van that has just hit it!"
The van driver was no where to be seen, but I had the number of the company who he was working for, so i was calling the police, while my mate was calling the company, to get them to send the driver back.
Driver comes back (parks his van out of sight) and then is getting really annoyed at the fact I have called the police, then he turns and says "My car at home is better than this piece of s***!!" My mate steps in at this point as he could tell I was about to commit murder!
Damage to my car is approx £1000 and a week off the road while it is in being repaired, New drivers side wing, new Prodrive PD7 Alloy, New side indicator, plus relevent paint work, and checking everything out.
Would like to say thanks to the guys at Cheam Motors for making it so I can open the drivers door, at 5.20 in the evening just as they were closing up, very much appreciated guys!
Sorry to have bored you, just had to rant.

How **** is that, what a nobber
Good of the body shop guy to let you know though, least theres some decent people around.
Press the police to do something as well, leaving the scene of an accident and that, and complain bitterly to the tw@s company.....

They even offered to sort the wing out for me there and then FOC so that i could open teh door, but I kindly declined as I said I wanted my Subaru dealer to see the car in the condition as it was.

I hope that the police do him for leaving the scene, a few points and a large fine should sort this sort of git out
He only came back because we chased up his company

What a ****e! you force him to return to the scene, which no doubt he wouldn`t have done, then has the audacity to insult you.
So much for the support of our Police force.
Sorry to hear it.

Surely you could get this guy the sack, wouldn't that make you feel better
Jamie
PS I think I would have decked him too if he'd said that to me unless there was someone to hold me back!

I share your feelings Ian.
Two weeks ago the same thing happened to me. The driver was seen hitting my car and driving off. She saw my car rock on its suspension, so matey MUST have felt it as it happened! When questioned he said "I didn't know I hit anyfink". I could have smashed his stupid face in!
Why do people NOT CARE ABOUT OTHER'S PROPERTY ANYMORE!!!

My old car got hit in a car park, left it for 10 mins and when I came back the drivers door was completely caved in. No one saw anything and suprise suprise the CCTV camera was out of action. Police didn't want to know either. The car was only a crappy citroen but it was in good nick and was all I had at the time. I know how you feel. Make sure you get as much as you can outta the f*ckers! Good Luck.

Ian,
I heard this story from Alex. I am gutted for you, never rains but it pours at the moment for you.
Truely not fair.
Glad things are getting sorted out. Maybe you should get them to pay for a TSL geometery setup, after all the wheel was hit and it could have knock the alignment out.
