Wait a sec you said it was an RB5 ? That means its a UK car! You should have either of these specs:
To celebrate Richard Burns' first year in the Subaru World Rally Team, the RB5 (5 was the number Richard used during the 1999 WRC championship) was launched to critical acclaim by the press. 444 examples of this car were made available to the general public. A "WR Sport" version of the car was available at extra cost, specified at delivery time by the first owner.
Blue Steel metallic paintwork
Fully colour-coded exterior (mirrors, door handles, skirts and driving lamp covers)
Blue 'Alcantara' and suede-effect interior trim, with black 'jersey' surround on seats
Special graphite trim for the centre console
Air conditioning
Unique titanium/pewter coloured 17in, 6 spoke Speedline alloy wheels with Pirelli 'P Zero' 205/45 ZR17 tyres
PIAA front driving light conversion
Prodrive quickshift
Roof-mounted map reading lamps
RB5 side and rear decals (and also on driving light covers)
RB5 embossed carpet mats
RB5 interior-mounted, numbered plaque "Limited Edition" only 444 availabl
On the road price: £24,995
WR Sport Performance Package
Prodrive High wing (similar to the new STi 5 but with the brake light on the wing rather than boot lid)
Prodrive Performance pack, consiting of Prodrive ECU, exhaust and revised intercooler piping.
On the road price: £27,500

The Stars 555? There was a Stars 25 in Holland. A blue steel special edition but its without the 17in wheels, PIAA spots, RB5 decals, etc.
See the lower part of http://www.iwoc.co.uk/impse.html under Holland for details.
If its a Stars 25 it isn't an RB5.

As Dan B said RB5's were UK cars so if its an import it cant be an RB5.
I think they did STi's in the same/simlar colour.
The Dutch did a 555 edition car which was simlar to the RB5 which was called a Star 25, this was avalable in either Black micra (40 made) or Blue steel (RB5 colour 120 made) both had gold wheels and Alcantara seats.
So if its left hand drive its probably a star 25 (Dutch import)

The colour of the RB5 is exactly the same as the 'Cool Grey' offered on the STi5/6.
I think the car u saw is a non-UK special edition. Have u checked the rear seats? Real RB5 has non-foldable rear seats.

It's funny how Subaru invents all these names for almost the same cars.
In Holland it was indeed called the Stars25, in Belgium it didn't have a name other than 'Basic' (no ABS/airbags) LOL
Holland had more blue steels, Belgium got more black mica ones. Apparently that was a mistake whilst they put in their orders.
The ONLY real difference between these cars and the standard spec is the fixed rear bulkhead/rear seat (supposed to make it a tad stiffer, but I doubt that it does much TBH), the dash surround (tacky grey), and the blue alcantara. The rest is badges, cosmetics, etc.
