Angry

Driving along last night i became convinced something was wrong with the car, the handling was sloppy and it felt like the front left tyre was flat or something.

Pitch black got out, kicked front left tyre, it felt ok. Nursed the car to the destination and checked the suspension arms and tyre pressures this morning, they were all fine.

Now the car doesn't feel right still, it just doesn't. Not sure what the problem is but it also squirms and slews under braking - it shouldnt do this, it never did before.

The tyres are about up for replacing anyway and i was considering geometry setup and checking anyway - so gonna do both of those to see if that cures it - anything else i should get checked by a dealer? The car feels ill currently.

Also, anyone know somewhere cheap or good in the Oxford area for a geometry setup and Goodyear F1s?

Thanks for the help.

TSl Nottingham is the only place i can think of. Just short of 100 miles, but well worth it just to experience TSL IMO.

Cool

buy them here...
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=103753
and then find someone local to fit them.
Best deal I've come across and I'm running a set of F1s to prove it!

Question

Go on, flame me, but: Did you check ALL your tyre pressures?
If you're off to TSL be prepared to spend big money..........some of the stuff they have there is "Must Have" type stuff.......:

Are you sure your tyres are ok? Have you checked the inside of the tyre-walls. I`ve seen a thread on here showing a tyre wall,(inner) to have a massive "baloon" as the tyre wall had given way. I take it that you havn`t kerbed it recently? that might have altered the tracking.

Nod, checked all tyre pressures TWICE in 2 days to check for slow puncture the lot. All were remaining around 30 psi.

Gonna replace the tyres anyway, lost all confidence in them. Gonna email Gary to find his price then look for best price in my area on the web as per links

Still considering TSL for the geometry setup, i like TSL Might have to get boost gauge whilst there to go with the new Geodesy from the group buy

Thumbs up

I've had a lot of suspension & handling work done by Power Station and the difference its made to my car has been fantastic.

www.powerstation.org.uk

Have a look at the bumpsteer mod.
