Thumbs up

You are a STAR mate......

the story is, basically never having met or spoken to david prior to today, I was in a position where another scoobynetter who knows him, gave me his number to help me resolve my problems.

This guy swapped my coil packs for his, then let me drive off in my car with me promising him a phonecall tomorrow.
He also has said he dosn't want any cash for this either...apart from his old coil packs back

I have never done anything like this before (even though BuRR said to call him 5 days ago), & felt very embarrased to be honest, but 5 mins after meeting him felt like I'd known him for a while.

David, I will call you tomorrow as promised & buy you a full set of new ones, find out if you can get those uprated ones & what the price is mate.

Absolutely agree. Will do anything for anyone (or so the rumour on the toilet walls in Ventura goes) and nothing is too much hassle.

Tip top guy. Rare.

Did you replace yours/his coils with new ones. If so what did this do to your problem. Im hoping new coils are gonna solve mine,: a hesitation at 5000rpm.

Chiark -

Jaay - yes, new set of plugs helped a bit, but putting Davids coil packs on solved the problem & runs a lot smother now as well.
I had hesitation & lack of power from 3000 rpm on WOT, if I stepped the power delivery in slow through the rev range then it was ok....hence the thought that it was electrical.
