Having just driven back from Crete over three days, no sight seeing as we were on a mission,
The thought occured to me.......
I want to re- visit Dad and family (they live in Crete)
(I flew over there in three and a half hours and took three and a half days to drive back (at55mph :mad )).
What about taking the scoob on hol next time (they have some great mountain roads, I'm envisioning corsica rally here .
It seemed ever so easy to drive home with no organising whatsoever.
turn up at the ferry and buy ticket the longest wait was about three hours.
anyway after rambling,
Point being....
Anyone interested in doing a trip like this as a group.
Dad say his place can handle six "couples" at his gaff (i.e all will have beds), more can be accomodated but it's floor space only
As long as he doesn't landscape his plot too much there will be plenty of parking too.
I'm thinking September 2003 here just for clarity.
Also some members of the group might like to go/learn to dive while there, it's a little restrictive (laws) but the waters very clear and warm. Oh and my brother works for a dive operation over there
I thought about putting this in the meet section but it's not "locale" based, sorry if it's still in the wrong place.
Interested????

Dads still calculating travel expences (he paid them all )
I'll let you know,
Fuel wise....in Crete it was about .85 EURO pr Litre :eek
and a steady increase as you travelled North.
(until of course you get to the UK where it goes through the roof )
