Subaru Uk getting a bit cocky
#1
They sent a letter to Autocar this week correcting the price of the UK300 from 2 weeks ago - which is fair. But they included in the letter 'The UK300, for which demand exceeds supply, is...'
That would make a change, considering they still havent sold all their P1s for christ sake !

They are probably right - they can probably supply like one a month or something and they are probably selling 2 a month....

brilliant !!
Just do a quick search on Autotrader to see just how many P1's are out there.
Subaru UK with their head in the clouds, sand and up their own @rses as usual

subaru hasnt sold all the uk300's??
i just automatically assumed they had. jeez, how times change
what will happen in 2002, if theyre unsold? will they be my01 uk300's? or my02 uk300's?
ive noticed that subaru are doing full page adverts for the bug eye in recent autoexpress'.
as i say, how times change.

There are a lot of unregistered P1's and UK300's as people are waiting for 1st of September. Each dealer got a fairly small allocation of UK300's. My local dealer got 7, and has sold 6. Even after the RB5 was launched and with waiting lists at 9 months for std cars, I ordered mine 2 months after it was announced.
However the UK300 is still an overpriced WRX.

I agree with JJamess, what company can afford to turn customers away in the car market! Misubishi have sucessfully turned import owners into customers, while I have never set foot in a Subaru Uk dealership. Its about time IM changed leadership and its policy towards import owners, before Subaru changes it importer.
