Sick to death of this, why is it that my P1 is constantly tailgated by at least a decade old mess on wheels driven by some **** with the car filled with equally stupid mates.

Like today, in an urban area, 40 miles limit, i doing just over keeping up with traffic,and a **** in a total shed with his mates in it was about a foot away from my back bumper goading me to race, all said mates seemed to be encouraging this. So bloody pointless, id be embarrased if the roles were reversed.

Ive already been back-ened by a 17 year old driver and it makes me sick when u know they wont have the driving skills or proper brakes to stop in time if i have to.

Can spot them a mile away, gangsta rap played out of speakers made of egg boxes, dodgy DIY pimp tints and passengers that have handcuffs as jewelry.

doesn't matter if I'm in the clio or the scoob - I get this constantly. If its a shed it's usually the type of person you have just described otherwise it seems to be a middle aged man driving a standard corporate car who thinks his journey is far more important and driving at 30mph outside a school is for losers.
I hate people driving too close to my boot (take note red scoob driver who did this to me on the m1 recently).

God, this is so true! Why on earth do these baseball cap donned kids embarrass themselves? They obviously think that they are 'cool' in their 1.3 Nova SR's with holes in the exhaust so it sounds loud! I don't ever give them the satisfaction of racing. infact, if someone sits on my a*se end, I usually slow down. Aggravates the bloody hell outta the little tw*ts!

I had a moron in a fiat panda doing the same to me when I had my FTO.
In a twenty limit and I can't see the top of his bonnet, came to a speedhump that I was slowing for and I swear he was getting closer, so I stopped. He got out of the car being all mouthy, I politely asked him not to drive so close to me, his answer was well I'm insured so if I hit you it'll get sorted, what's the problem?

Hey my kind of people! since i got my licence many years ago my pet hate has been tailgaters they relly p*** me off. i agree best thing to do is slow down and p*** them off even more cause even if they try to take you it wouldnt be hard to stop their 60bhp tin cans! My Mate was with me once picking my sister up from school and some bloke was doing it, my mate just got out, dragged him out the car, and threw his head intohe school-go slow sign so that he got the message!

edited to say, what u mean last time i didnt show? resorting to lying now are you? Loud stereo, modified shed (like my MG Metro), drive like an ****, tailgate faster cars in the hope they will give you what we used to call "a display".

They are young (usually), and doing exactly what we all did.

Some people are really uptight these days. You should do what most people do and boot it

Back to the subject - where ARE all these tailgaters in their novas??? In two years I cant think of a single instance Ive been out in the scoob and been hassled/goaded/tailgated to the point of danger like you all seem to be every time you go down the shops ffs!

Its funny we should all be talking about old sheds et al. At the mo im driving round in an F reg Nissan bluebird 1.6. Its got about as much poke as an old man without viagra, ie sweet fa. But i have to say its intersting to drive and you *cant* get road rage in one of these things. Even 1.0 things whiz past !

big love dream weaver, we all did it, tail gating, revving, wheel spinning, loud exhausts that reduced back pressure in order to make it slower than standard, however i do sympathise as there are vindictive people out there who are uninsured, thus caring little about the back of your scoob.

tailgating is not clever.

the other day i overtook in an appropriate manner an escort that was travelling approx 35mph in a national speed limit zone. upon arriving at a queue of traffic some two and a half miles later. the bloke in the escort whos missus was driving gets out and launchs a tirade of verbal and threatened physical abuse. i just thought, ****! if i had cut him up, fine, but i execueted a very safe manouvre past a slow moving vehicle on a straight road, the guy was spitting with rage and told me " if you drive past me like a f***ing C88t again i will break your legs" etc etc. without being judgemental, iwould have said my mother would have described him as "undesirable"

i was unimpressed and angry

nimbus, ta for your concern, but in my experience the police are ineffective and to busy trying to nick people in scoobs etc.

they are'nt interested in trivialities like that.

frankly if i want to talk to some spotty, un-read youth, i'll go to maccy-d's

in actual fact, a burger flipper probably does have more idea of what his job is than a patronising, overpaid, traffic warden
