Hi everyone on a crappy wet sunday, was bored so went to get a mag, saw the CCC mag had S/S scoob and Well lane turbo scoob, MY01 models compairing different mods, the S/S looked fantastic, quite tempted by that look myself, its amazing what alloys an boot spoiler an do, the S/S had the usual exhaust and induction bits and the leda suspension (any one got it?) plus brake coversion. but what did surprise me is the WL turbo was running superchip conversion with hks blow off valve, with all the horror storys i hear about superchiping these motors they sounded confident by saying they are 100% reliable upto 260-270bh, theres is 264bhp, is it the fitting of these chips and bad set up that causes them to overboost n self destruct? or if somone knows the stuff it will be o.k? my dealer has a guy who used to work for prodrive who can chip your car, never had any probs to date and there demo cars have been tweaked, they will also honour the warrenty, they reckon 250 bhp with out over boosting. what do you guru"s reckon? cheers Lee
