escort cosworth monte carlo
#1
Need help here and cant post on rs owners club board cos it wont let me register.
A friend of mine is buying one of these and wants to know how to distinguish genuines from fakes.
I have always loved escort cosworths but have no idea what this is, or how to help him.
Dont know if rainbird or anyone is out there, but can you give me some pointers as to what to look for and I will forward him this link. The car is flint grey with cloth trim and air con????? it does have a plaque saying number 98 or something but he didnt know they came in this colour.
Can anyone shed some light?
and more importantly is he gonna be able to stay with me, cos he thinks he is .
Only joking on that last one. dont want to start a cossie/scoob thread, just need some genuine advice.
thanks in advance.

Hi Adam
I think the Monte came in Purple but could be wrong, all came with cloth seats with Monte embroiding and Monte on the Dash, wheels were 16" OZ's instead of the nice Cossy Wheels and thats about it I think?
I think Big Shaun can shed a little more light on it as he nearly bought one a while back.
