Feel sorry for you mate. Did you say you took up two spaces to park your car? It's just that I can see this really getting up people's noses and certain lowlifes thinking "just because he drives a nice car he thinks he can occupy two spaces - I'll teach the ****".
Sorry but I'm afraid it's true, some people really do have this mentality.
On a lighter note I drove up to central London (Royal Victoria Docks) over the weekend and left my Scoob right in the middle of some cul-de-sac where my mates live. Come midnight on Sat/Sun it seemed like the whole of the So Solid Crew descended onto this street and hung aroung until about 5am doing, well I don't know what and all I can say us I really didn't sleep very easily that night But fair play, my car was unscathed and the Tracker was not called into action

Exactly the same thing happened to my P1 - I am guessing that putting it in 2 spaces was the reason for the vandalism - some people obviously have a problem with that in addition to a performance car.
I used wax wizard - if it's not through the coloured paint, you should be able to remove it completely for <£25. This stuff is superb...

Some bar steward took a screwdriver to the bonnet of my mk2 golf 16v a year or so ago, all accross the bonnet and across the whole passenger side, needless to say a paint job was in order. he was on cctv but couldnt make out who he was, police were useless, and even more useless when it was stolen 3 months later!!!!!
have a new golf gttdi 150 now anyway (well in a month or so when its delivered)

had the very same problem with my MY00 DBM - except it was a bastad with a lawn mower who put a large scratch right down the passenger side, both doors and front wing
Mark Underwood (wax wiz) got most of it out for me so give him a bell

Just had mine done, Big scratch down the wing & drivers door whilst parked in France.
Also had a mate whos car was parked in France & he was stood a few cars up the street. 2 young ***** in a 4x4 drove past his car & as they did so the driver leant out & beat his boot lid with his fist (small dent, easy to get out), a short distance further up the road a fist backed bt 16 stone went through the open window of the 4x4 as it drove by (big mess on face), justice was done!
Note this is nothing against the French in general, just had a brilliant couple of weeks & found everybody really helpful, as with the UK their are mindless ***** everywhere. Also French Scoobie dealers happy to look at Jap imports if you get problems

Someone who lives very very close to me scratched my 02 ST1 Prodrive on two doors and both back panels quite deeply - The Body Shop in Weaste Eccles nr Manchester sorted it for £ 700.00 - they had to completely strip all paint work - excellent job as new. Do you know that the sti sticker on the doors are £ 27.00 each!!

f**king t**ts. This type of thing really gets my goat. Unfortunatley we live in a society where this type of thing seems common place. Jealous!!!!! Top and bottom of it. Ive had my car scratched when i was a former boy racer. Really pi$$ed me off. I havent read all the posts but the cctv footage might reveal some clues. I think ASDA's cameras might have an overall shot of the car park so you can see which car the guy came from then have a camera/s covering the entrance and exit. This could yield his number plate. Hello Mr plod and i know its not november the 5th yet but anyone up for an early bombfire. :-)
Hope you get some clues mate.
Scrappy
PS.. give us a bell if you find him.
