I had to take my car to the dealer today for a locking problem, and to my
surprise I was given the keys to a Justy, well, what can I say, apart from the
fact that it ran out of fuel within 2 miles, and the horn didn’t work, it was the
biggest pile of excrement I have ever driven, even the service guy on my
return said ‘I bet your glad to be out of that’ ‘your damn right’ was my reply.
Well anyway, they fixed (for now) the problem with the car, but you can rest
assured that I will be waiting for the car when it goes in to have the wiring
loom in the door replaced!

Hear,hear.
I always thrash the nuts out of the loan Justy when in for a service but have never been able to kill one yet.
On the other hand, if I had a field to play in then it would be the ideal cheap car to practice 4 x 4 rallying without breaking the bank.
I wonder how many of these sh!te heaps are ever sold in a year?

A few years ago my sister had a 1.2 2wd justy MY89 . It was a fast car for a 1200 cc and I used to borrow it and have some fun scaring 1.3SR nova drivers . The look on their face when they realised they were being passed by a subaru was good . This was in the days when subarus were still thought of as a farmers car . And being a 3 cylinder engine it loved to rev and sounded good . I thing the 2wd version was only available in Ireland and is a lot quicker than the 4wd . Also the later ones are fitted with a cat which also slows them down . But of course being a subaru the trim disintegrated and the body started to rust whilst the mechanicals were still good .

Some people dont know when they have been lucky. Last service we were given a Subaru Vivio. Even smaller and crappier than the Justy. In fact id forgotten that they existed until received. It managed to wheeze itself up to 60 after about a mile. Great when you have to do a U'Y on a 70mph dual carriageway. Yeh sure everyone understood our predicament, NOT!!

The upside is that you appreciate your "real" car a whole lot more.
Are they just Suzuki Swifts rebadged or something? because the few Ive seen on the road Ive always initially mistaken for Swifts, and only realised they are Subaru's when Ive seen the bagde.

When we had a Justy courtesy car I couldn't figure out where the buttons were for the electric windows, then realised they were wind down (I've obviously been pampered too much)
The car's in for it's 30,000 service today - nearly got a P1 as a courtesy, but they sold it, then a 300, but they're not taxed - ended up with a Legacy - booooooo

When I had my clutch replaced I was looking forward to getting something tasty - for a previous service I'd got a Legacy auto and had fun driving it.
Well - I ended up with the Justy - no petrol in it, no washer fluid, tons of dog hair on the back seat, crisp bags, *** packets, you get the picture.
Soooo . . . every time I book in for a service now - I get them to drop me/pick me up from work!!
Maybe they do it on purpose - so you DON'T want a loan car!!

I LIKE the Justy... LONG LIVE the Justy...tried overtaking at Metro at 35mph, had to pull back in - it wouldn't do it..the Metro had accelerated to 38mph...but I did like the fact that you could park it anywhere, windows/doors open, key in the ignition, sign on top saying "help yourself" and come back 4 hours later and drive off...
