Beware comedy Fiesta driver
#1
Funniest thing I've seen on the road in a long time this morning...
(except for that night I came across a bloke crawling across the road after a few too many sherbets)
On my run to work (Mansfield - Derby). Coming out of Mansfield there was this white Fiesta 1100 with a young lady driving like an absolute nutter. She was racing everything in sight, cutting up lorries, marvellous stuff..
Anyway next set of lights it is 2 lanes, a Laguna on the inside and her on the outside at the front of the queue. You could see she was up for it (a race that is), Laguna dude minding his own business, me sat behind waiting for the action.
Soooo, lights change, she snatches a gear and here we go....
Reverse light comes on and she's done a racing start in my direction..... Help!
Fortunately given the advice on anti car-jacking I (nearly always) leave a cars length between me and the car in front.
As she managed about half a cars length in reverse it could have been a good accident report for the insurers.
But now I could laugh nearly as funny as a Frank Skinner **** sex joke. The bloke next to me was wetting himself, I think the bloke sat in her car was ****ting himself
So beware girlies in Fiestas and that anti car-jacking measure has more than one purpose!!!!!!
Rich
By they way she was a little bit of a huffermouse.....

My first car was a C reg Escort 1.1 and the gearbox mechanism was so worn that you couldn't tell if you were in first or reverse.
You are supposed to have to push the gearstick down first to get the car into reverse but mine was so worn you didn't need to do that anymore. There was about half a centimetre seperating first from reverse.

sounds like my wife last night!
she has only driven my car about three times and last night as we cam up to the traffic light off the M3, she pulled up along side a 1984 XR3i in standard state.
She decided to take the rev up to about 6K and not drop the clutch but ride it for the next 100 yrds I am glad to say the the dagenham dustbin did not past us but my clutch was still warm this morning
