Thumbs up

Thank you to (in the order I wrote the names down):

JackClark
Scrappy2
Chuckster
Tinstu
Tommy2000
Andy Porter
Makalu
Flat Eric
Gridlock Mikey

I managed to get the car into the hotel car park without incident last night using the following method:

Going very slowly, leaving the ramp diagonally and waiting for a scrape!

The brave person that said they would sit in the car with me and help out if there was a problem said he didn't realise Imprezas could go so slowly!

We were prepared though we found some of the thickest phone books (Bristol Yellow Pages is a good three inches thick) to go under the tyres just in case. Of course the wieght of five of them could have helped!

Glad you managed it..

This is one of the reasons my car is still running the standard front...... I would hate to be worried about scraping it all the time.. especially with some of the country lanes I take my car down.

JGM you won't believe how pleased I was!

After it was done and everyone agreed to looked very aggressive came the realisation of how much more difficult I had made my life!

Don't get me wrong I love the kit and wouldn't shape it for anything else but I went from not worrying about curbs at the front of the car to being deeply worried in about five seconds!

Yup, we toyed with the idea of getting a P1 to keep the widearse company (love my 'classic' sccobs) but that front lip is a liability!
Glad you got in safe mate.

It does look lovely that's for sure...

just too easy to make one parking error and it could be a very expensive parking space.

I have scraped my standard MY96 on the ground let alone a low one but then I was in Dartmoor and going along an unmade road and through a ford.... the water type rather than the car.

Chuck - Hmm my "green thing" might actually end up looking meaner than Nicky's (sorry if that is spelt wrong) 22B!

JGB - I think it might actually help to moderate my driving!

Andy - Anytime I can help!
