SBF No5 Fuse, URGENT - What does it do??
#1
I am on the edge of ridding myself of the beloved scooby - READ ON:
Driving down the motorway, car sounds like it has slipped out of gear, realised that car has cut out. Loads of fuel etc so no basics wrong, gets towed off motorway, checks basics Fuse SBF No. 5 has blown, fitted new one, blew again! , car will turn over but not start? What is this fuse associated with as i have a major elecrical problem and my car is over 24miles away unattended!!!
Low loader no good as it will rip the skits as it goes onto the back and a tilt recovery van is £120!!!
Any ideas would be superb.
P.S, if you have read any of my other treads i am meant to have subaru assistance and 12mth warranty from intermoto!!!
In 3 months of having the car 97R with 32K (just had full 32K service including timing belt when i picked it up!):
A/C has never worked!
2nd and 3rd gear are crunching more and more by the day!
Now the car won't do F. ALL
This is the first car of 7 (including metro and fiesta mark 2) to ever let me down!!!
HOw did McRae ever finish a rally - i only drive to work and back!!

For your info, you'll need a bit of patience, I'd say till tomorrow cause that's when most of the knowledgeable people get on the bbs, while they're at work.

Don't have any details of circuit with short - even subaru assistance over the phone could not tell me what the fuse was for!!!!

Ork,
I've rarely seen tech advice given on a Sunday evening. Most advice comes in on a Weekday during office hours. Plus some admit to it. No name mentioning but. If you notice drivetrain section, it's always quiet on a weekend.
