i am 24 years old and am a proud owner of a new age impreza
however under this shell i maybe gb 's unluckiest driver
i had been pulled over by the police 4 times all for different things all had verbal warning
i had been stopped for speeding by a copper with a speed gun (3pts in license)
i had been done by a gatso (6pts in license)
total 9 pts
i had a minor acc in my 2nd car (306 xsi) caused £3k damage
1.5 years later same car i had written it off causing damage to locals fences
most upto date (if you already saw my other post) i was a victim of an attempted car-jack

You don't mention whose fault the accidents were, or what you were actually doing in order to warrant being pulled and given a warning by the police, but 'unlucky' isn't the first word that springs to my mind. Getting 9 points for speeding certainly isn't unlucky, it's a risk we all take if we break the rules (whether we think the rules were justified or not).
How much is your insurance BTW?
Andy.
(Edited to add my vote of sympathy for your attempted car-jack - hope you're OK - and to politely invite you to put me straight if I've got the wrong end of the stick. Hope you understand how your post might be interpreted).

aaargghhhhh don't ask that magical question
AndyC_772
HOW much is your insurance???
4 verbal warnings (all were night time driving )
1 cos i was driving near derby City centre and were checking on random cars
1 were speeding
1 were did a swan on an awkward turn
1 were fog lights were on
oopss there were 2 more
1 for driving on a bus lane
1 for thinking i had fog lamps on whn it was dipped lights
1st accident tapped an escort van at the back because the 1st car (learner driver) slowed really down suddenly
the £3k was mainly for the broken fan and air condioning unit
the 3pts were doing 38mph on a 30 road
6pts doing 36 on a 30 road
(i know its not some thing to show off to)

6 points for 36 in a 30 . I thought it was a standard 3 pointer that ?
I got nicked for 70 in 40 (years ago in my boy racer days I might add) and only got 3 points.
cheers

You might just be very unlucky ....... if so it will change as time goes by.......
My first 3 years of driving were scattered with such events, but the last three have been quite uneventful apart from a few police stops to check its my car....... that doesn't really bother me.
Have fun

6 points for 36mph....yeah right.
Quote : because the learner slowed down really suddenly
erm no, anticipate actions of learner driver and stay well back leaving sufficient stopping distance between you and the car in front.
Oh and SLOW DOWN.
Take all this with a pinch of salt tho mate as I am hardly a pillar of the community myself at the moment. still, It leaves me plenty of time to catch up on here, got gunned doing 108mph oops, but hey look on the bright side it wasn't in a thirty zone.
EDIT: Oh and for the record if it makes you feel any better I can't get the insurance down under 1500 squid....yet

When I was 19, I was one of the first drivers in the North West to be driving the new "Sierra Cosworth", big wing tail version as well, bright white. You can imagine the attention I got for that, got pulled by the cops 3 times in one day ! At least one of the coppers admitted, though, that the only reason I was getting stopped was because they wanted to look at the car !
