Went to Oban this w/e - had a great time going up there on the A85........
Arrived, tent pitched up uneventfully (well almost!). Relaxed, had a few glasses of wine - decided that we should hit Oban for the evening. Being security conscious - put the disklok on.
OH S*** - my keys for the lock are 150 miles away
Anyway - RAC helped out the next morning - car taken down to Munro's Garage (Thanks guys)...... who very kindly drilled the darn thing off......
Expensive weekend - but fantastic fun !
Remember *be careful out there* - take your brain with you when you go away

Glad to see my clients are security concious...especially in such a high crime rated area the likes of Oban!!! ....just a little concerned about the "brain drain" tho...
Have you been working one too many nights???

James - they used 2 smaller ramps attached to the original ramp to get the the incline low enough !!!
Rum* - I know !! - it worried me - think I've pickled my brain on wine
Chiark - correct - its that campsite - it was a gorgeous weekend - just the right weather to find out a bit more about the P1's handling

Re campsite - NO, it was the one to the LEFT of Oban as you look out towards the sea.
The BEST one in Oban as has glorious sea views down the sea to the south and more islands....
Your brain MUST be pickled Gastro :-)

I was brought up in Lochgilphead, not far from Oban, and i imagine the roads around there are awesome for any enthusiastic drivers.
I've never had the chance to go back up there with the scoob (live in brighton now) but the last time i went the locals all drove like michael schumacher !
Can remember coming down from lochgilphead towards inverrary in a diesel hire car and being slipstreamed up hill by a mazda pick up stuffed to the hilt with gas bottles.
It was like two supertankers passing!
Took ages to pass me, but they just don't back off up there, just kept steaming past me !
