Just thought I would let all you guys and gals know...home cctv mono system £30 from Argos.

Put one on front of house a couple of weeks ago, superb for the money.

Comes complete with scart plug and (iirc), about 30m cable.

Anyway, I like it, I can watch my scooby all evening now

MD, you should have got the kit that includes a PIR motion sensor that will activate a recording on a VCR and/or sound an alarm should anyone goes near, instead of you glaring into the monitor all nite with no action. I believe X10 sells such a kit for UK specs too. The low light monochrome units has a sensitivity of 0.5 lux and comes with 60' of cable, the other wireless model is colored and a 2 lux rating.

But for £30 you cant go wrong!

I dont really sit watching the monitor, I only change channel when the (pir) outside lights come on!

It has got ir leds for semi-close pics, but its ok for what I want, thanks for the info.
