Maybe a can of worms but if you are happy then cool.

I am very pleased with mine, for the same reason, and was also in my last car.

Am now getting close to 270 miles per tank, not bad for a 2.2 with a short ratio gearbox.

Cool

In the last two weeks I have done around 1000 miles in my Scoob.

They are trips I am familiar with of mainly motorway. Tend to stick at 80-85 but occasionally may go to 90ish for overtaking. I also was not 'trying', the weather was so nice that it just was not worth concentrating on mpg when sun, music and scooby were there

Last time I did this in February time I got 25mpg average for the run. After fitting Broquet I made the same trip for just under 27mpg average.

This time I have averaged 28MPG. This figure would have been even better but I rewarded myself by having some backlane fun for the last 40 or so miles. I worked out the average at one fillup for example and it was over 29MPG - better than I have EVER got.

So after 2500 miles driving I would now emphatically say that I am a satisfied Broquet customer.

Thankyou to Scoobynet for the offer and David Lock for putting it up.

Laurence

Not wishing to pour cold water etc - but I've noticed that I get these sort of improvements Summer over winter anyway. I think the engine management system senses warmer (therefore less dense) air and reduces fuelling

Cool

Markus: Thanks, I know. I did say though 2,500 was a good figure (even though I also posted earlier at 1,500). And besides, suddenly getting 338 on a tank before filling needs celebration (52 litres taken, not a full tank).

Jaydee: Most of my long distance (save one trip) was done at stupid early morning hours (ie around 4-5am) when it's still pretty blooming cold.

All I am starting with this mail is something positive. The original mail became silly with comments, but it should be long enough now that people who bought from ScoobyNet are getting results and could start posting.

I am not linked with Broquet in any way, just a happy customer who having experimented on my car will now look into getting the same for my wifes Fiat!
