That just got me motor fixed feeling

Anyone else get this?
Picture the scene, after a ****e day at work. Everyone on my case about one thing or another, I leave at 3. 30 after having arrived at 12 pm. Manager is not happy and has a right go at me. I leave in a dark mood, totally fcuked off and ready to crack someone, preferably manager shaped, straight in the mouth. I finally get back to the garage where my 3-door is sat outside. New wheel bearing fitted and ready to go. I pay the man for his efforts and set off. On go the glasses and so begins the journey home. All 15 glorious miles of it. In goes the Ratpack Old Skool masters CD and down goes the window. Gonna be “rockin down the house” for the drive home. Despite it being rush hour, I manage to pick the correct route with hardly any traffic on it. My driving gets proggresivly more “progressive” and the car, and me is loving it. Going down a cracking GLF limit B road, an open top MX-5 joins in the fun, Neither of us particually goes for it but the driving is enthusiastic enough for us to exchange smiles and nods at the lights where we part company. I stay at the lights and white van man in the next lane offers me pole position. What follows is the perfect launch, off the line perfect, no lag, just boost, snap into second, Bang, hit the sweet spot of third perfect, no missed changes here thank you very much , Fourth, oops, I’m doing AAAAAH! miles an hour, best lift off Force myself to, cos the car feels just soooooooo good! I cruise through town and park in the garage. Big smile on my face and ready for another four hours in front of the tele.
Ah, “Just got me motor fixed” day. You cant beat it.

Superb bit of writing sunshine, yep Ive had a bit of that recently too.
Keep ya chin up, when the boss p155es you off...ok I'll do it your way, walk away...chill.
Life is just too short to let the insignificant things get you down, just think about all the good things!
Much nicer way to tackle things.
Cheers, MD.

Had that feeling today. Even better when its cost nowt -'cos apparently there was nothing wrong.
Severe case of low power steering fluid and paranoia. All fixed with some friendly re-assurances.
Gave it some welly on the way home. Had a bit of a wiggle going up a slip road (hmmm greasy whitle line ))

I paid around 100squid in all. 35 for the bit (geniune ford Item) 53 or so for the labour, rest in tax.. They charge 35squid an hour for the labour so work it out for yourself how long it took cos I cant do the maths.
cheers,
astraboy.
