Ho hum, just thought I'd share my grief with you
Wonderful day out, plenty of cars, some good track action, support from suppliers.....
Wasn't until Sunday night realised I was quite badly sunburnt....
Wasn't until Monday night I had to go to Accident & Emergency at the Queens Med because my head was on fire, blistered and generally very unpleasant
Having to stay at home at the mo and laquer it in cool water, after sun, etc. just to think straight.
So remember people, it might not be sunny all the time, but you can still get burnt! And if you are like me with sensitive skin, you just end up looking like a matchstick/freak
Off to stick my head in a bucket of water now

Feel for you Hanslow - Donno is a bugger for that.
I remember going to the BTCC about 5 years back. It was cloudy so we decided no suncream was required. 8 hours later, on the way home my head was murdering.
Next day my forehead was full of little yellow blisters - when i ran my hand accross them they felt like clingfilm

You're not the only one m8. Wasn't till I went to bed Sunday night that I found that my face and neck were nicely burnt ... been slapping on the aftersun and moisturiser since.
Luckly didn't need the QMC though.

Glad to see it's not just me (sort of, not maliciously )
Heard numerous times, didn't you take your hat! Nope, looked outside at 8:30am, hmmmm cloudy, looks like rain, I'll take my coat!
almost took baseball cap, and never crossed my mind to buy one whilst there!
Still, reminded me never to go outside in daylight again.....just need a coffin for the cellar now

I also stupidly believed the weather report on Sunday and took my coat instead of suncream/hat. I'm now red and sore as well. Didn't need a trip to QMC though, but I'm expecting to turn Cadbury (flaky) in the next couple of days.
I have now put a hat into the car so I won't ever forget it.
One of the guys at work who was up there with me is also glowing like Chernobyl on a bad day.

I got caught too. Keep getting my fore head slapped at work. I don't know what it is with donnington but I have just been away for 5 days with perfect sunnyshine and 32 degC, didn't use cream or hat and didn't burn at all. Get to donnington and I fry?? Everytime!! Should have learnt by now. Personally I think I've got chemical burns?

I got burnt a tad on my chest and shoulders, nothing worth bragging about
No burning on my face cos the amount of make up I plastered on shielded me from the sun as it has UVA and UVB filters
My hair protects my scalp

silverstone was the best place to avoid the sun at the weekend!
i suspect wind-burn has the same effect, though, but it would have been cooled down by the rain as it p*ssed down most of the weekend.
having said that, i did get thoroughly toasted on thursday, friday, saturday and sunday nights. oh, and days as well. not by the sun though
