After buying my scoob I took out Breakdown Cover with Brittania Rescue via CSMA (my dads a member). However Ive just read my docs and seen that the extended subaru warranty on my MY00 includes Subaru Assistance cover. Now is this any good so I can cancel my Brittania cover and get the money back (only £35 but is 1/3 of the cost of the STi pedals I want) or should I just stick with Brittania? Im guessing Subaru just contract it out to one of the big Roadside Assistance players.

Simon.

I had to use the subaru assistance once, a local garage turned up, put the car on the back of the truck and took us home.

At least with the subaru assistance they will take you home. That would cost a bomb without it.

I had a problem with the key failing to deactivate the immobilizer, and called Subaru Assistance. It was the weekend before Christmas and icy, so the recovery people were working flat out getting people out of ditches. Took a bit of time to get sorted, but in the end they took me home to Nottingham from Somerset on the back of a lorry.

And guess what - got home and the fecking thing started again no probs Dealer said the key was dodgy and replaced it.

I thought I was covered for all eventualities with the AA. After having a minor shunt, they informed me that as it was an RTA, they would charge me for the low loader to take the scoob to authourised repairer. Subaru Assistance took it, no charge, no problem and also turned up at scene very quickly. Have suspended AA until 3 yrs SA is up!

Hmm looks like general consensus is that it is pretty good then. I will keep it and bin the Brittania one until my warranty expires.

My warranty came up for renewal end of March. I didn't continue it but did take on Subaru Assist for £70 for a year. Much cheaper than AA/RAC/Green Flag offerings.
