I had immobiliser issues for a couple of years, and finally gave up like you. Now sorted, but up North.

Too far!

I'd just do a search for auto electricians that list wiring harness / loom repairs.

I feel your pain, similar issue but not immobiliser, probably due to mixing and matching. Anyone have a recommended Auto Electrician in Brum?

Just find a local garage that specialises in auto electronics. I use a regular garage for all my stuff they are very good. Had an electrical issue with a abs wire in the loom. They couldn’t do it. Took it to another local garage recommendation who specialises in auto electronics and they solved it in about 3 hours. They have all the relevant harnesses and software to pinpoint issues rather that just a normal reader.

Yes, that's good advice. As well as my Scooby, I also had an Audi with wonky air suspension electronics. Local garage took it to an auto electrical specialist, tested all the modules and sensors and it was just one cheap(ish) sensor that was causing major problems that had already been replaced before.
