Back in a classic scoob and when I pick it up I want to replace the oversized bonnet scoop with an original scoop but can't find one anywhere - found one for an sti3-6 but googled it and thats for 1997 onwards. Does anyone have one they don't need or know of someone who does have one?! I've no idea what the difference is between the 1996 and 1997 models I only had M98 scoobs before. How can you tell between facelift and pre-facelift?

original cars from MY92-MY96 all use the very narrow type scoop with the MY97 (v3 STi style) gaining the larger scoop that saw service all the way to the last MY00 classic........

Thanks I assume there is no way of making the facelift scoop fit the pre-facelift bonnet?

the original scoop is about half the width of the later one

There's loads of facelift scoops about, sure the STI is the same as the standard uk classic scoop?

Believe it's only on newage models the STI scoop was made bigger than the standard WRX models.

Thanks this is where I don’t know and can only go on listings and they say the facelift scoop only fits my97-00.

Was saying don't think any difference between STI and normal turbo facelift models. Wasn't talking about pre facelift.
