Does the face lift bonnet scoop fit on to the pre-face-lift classic?

There are 4 types of bonnets and AFAIK the scoops are not interchangable

my93-96
my97-00
my01-02
my03>
Later model STIs have the same basic bonnet with a differant scoop.

I did try a my01 scoop on a my97-00 bonnet and it fits but leaves gaps and not all the holes line up!!

There was talk on here not so long ago about somebody making uprated scoops out of carbon fibre, They were asking who would be interested, Which models Etc. Can't remember who though, Might be worth dredging through a search on carbon scoops.
