Buying first impreza wrx sti
Hi all, i’m new to this forum so bear with me… Thinking of getting a blobeye or hawkeye wrx sti. I intend to use it purely as a weekend car so will only cover around 2000 miles a year at most. I don’t plan on making any mods straight away so will ideally be bought stock. I have a few questions which i would appreciate some of your opinions on…
What is considered high mileage for these even if they have been well looked after? currently looking at around £14000 for 60k miles.
Is the Uk spec still worth getting and fun to drive despite the jdm counterpart being much better in a lot of ways? as it is much easier to insure and they come up more frequently.
Ideally looking at a hawkeye as it will pass the emission zone and i prefer the looks, but is the 2.5Ej really as bad as people say it is compared to the 2.0?
Finally, has anyone managed to get finance on one of these as they’re an older car? I currently only have around half of the funds
Cheers

Scooby Regular
my 06 jdm Hawk is Ulez compliant but higher tax
if UK than 2.0 widetrack blob ,never buy oem scoob unless it's special edition car
60k miles is not a lot but most UK based ones will rust at rear arches ,sills etc
would prefer to buy fresh import with plutonium pollution and for a money needed to sort rust on UK car You could put UK turbo setup on jdm car - burble, 8k redline and quick rack steering
