Default YEARLY ISLE OF MAN TRIP

Hello Troops,
Just thought i would upload some footage from in my opinion, the best place on the planet,Isle of Man. The wife and i go every year and used to take our MNR Vrtx R1 powered kit car but now take our Blobeye spec c which is the correct weapon of choice to spook the bikers over the mountain road. 6:30 am every day we blast over the mountain hitting 130 and you know your car is going well when some of the bikers nod and give you the thumbs up after a run. It is absolutely awesome and the Spec c is ballistic over the fast sweeping bends. Later tonight i will try to upload on the for sale section my classic impreza that i an now selling due to lack of use.

At the iconic bridge.

Maserati Zagato with 26,000 miles at the show in Peel, absolutely beautiful.😎

Mnr R1 kit car,

My mate also came over in his Gr Yaris, another awesome car on the twisties and would carry ton plus speeds easily round the bends
Mnr Kit car is above,110 past the stationary police cars and they don’t bat an eyelid as long as you are in control.😀🏎

It's defo a bucket list item that anyone who enjoying driving a car or riding a bike should experience! And if you're there during TT fortnight then it's even more enjoyable due to the carnival atmosphere on island!

Yes!!!!! It is the blob with the signed sun visor!
Gambit is correct, the atmosphere on the island during race week can’t be beaten. Everybody is on great form and within 5 minutes of sitting down to watch the races, whoever is next to you,the conversation starts about bikes, cars, racing. Everyone there is a petrol head of some kind. We are lucky that we have friends out there and due to where they stay,on the first day we simply walk along to the fuel station on Brae hill and watch them do 150 in a 30 zone, closed roads of course.

👍 Bottom of brae hill was my favourite place to watch it, proper hairs on the back of your neck watching them come through there

Spoiler

You’re right, one of the best spots. When i had bikes 20 years ago i have to admit,i have done over 150 mph hundreds of times but every time i see them go past at higher speeds it still takes my breath away and makes me go “holy s..t!”

Now,places to stay………….that is the toughest part! We are lucky and have friends over there so stay with them,10 minutes walk from Brae hill ! In the early years we did glamping at Colby football club and for a few years we did glamping again at Vagabonds rugby club. There are loads of campsites dotted round the course and alot of people stay in Peel, the place where they have a fantastic bike / car show. Any spelling mistakes here,i’m typing this without my glasses on !

lucky boy that you have friends over there. How much is the ferry crossing these days ? And is it proper glamping or just a bog standard tent ? 😀

We pay £600 for both of us as foot passengers plus the car,a bike will be cheaper due to being alot smaller. I would say it is much better than a normal tent, bedside lights, you can both easily stand up in the tent as well. They were £75 a night and that was 5 years ago!

blimey! Didn’t expect the crossing to be that much! For me it would just be me and the missus + the car obviously

These are the costs my friend. Nothing is cheap these days. I don’t like to think about it but i know a weeks trip, including fuel from Scotland, eating out all the time, several tanks of 99 in the spec c etc etc,we blow £2,000. I don’t like spending money, but i’ll spend it for that trip.
