Default MOT fast idle result?

Passed but the C0 was 0.298 max is 0.300, is that typical or does it look a bit high? wondering if I should be investigating.

Bog standard exhaust, it was hot when I took the car in. called me an hour later to say it had passed, but not sure how long from dropping it off to emissions test, they are pretty good, so maybe just warmed it up enough to pass the test.

So many people these days seem to be having MOT emissions issues. I'm beginning to wonder if we are being sold naff petrol. We have no control over it, who knows what we are putting in our tanks. There's no bang in it anymore.
Apparently Esso 99 Supreme is zero ethanol...depending on what part of the country you live in. Google it if you're interested.
I'm a naturally cynical person (not cool I know), so I do wonder what's going on.

it may have been put straight on with no fast idle , my mrs Fsti has a standard exhaust and it’s a straight pass without fast idle , my Fsti’s both 200 cell sports cats need the fast idle to pass , my thoughts are it’s passed , im assuming it’s running ok then see what happens next year 👍

I'm not a big fan of ethanol in petrol, it certainly reduces your mpg, have you seen "The Fuel Reviewer" on YouTube, quite interesting.

That's a good point, maybe he's using 95 standard unleaded, which is now 10% ethanol, might not be helping. My Hawkeye runs like a bang off rubbish on 95. Most super unleaded have 0 ethanol, there's loads of tests on YouTube.

Why not swap to sports cat and sell oem for scrap, or wait for prices to increase.

See what happens next year, might not have to mot it for 2 years if Boris goes ahead with his mot plans.

The Government were considering making the MOT last for two years, to help with the cost of living, can't see it happening myself, but you never know.

So a £20 saving every year vs the tens of thousands cost of living has gone up by due to tories.Lets ignore the one but MOT every 2 years is better in comparison

Honestly its time to vote them out.

Ah I see, be better if they just reduced the fuel duty and Vat and started taxing EV's.

Agreed, the trouble is, they are trying to find things that won't cost the government anything.
