Default Sti rear shocks

Bought some rear shocks but they are not inverted but was advertised as 114.3 would that make a difference if mine are inverted. The the car in question they are going on is a jdm sti hawkeye . And is there much difference part from the thickness and how the shock works. would it be ok to swap them over . size looks the same.

Assuming saloon:

Second-hand dampers on a 140mph car? New inverted rears are £250 a pair.

Those you pictured are nothing like your inverted struts in performance. They won't control STI rear springs.

If you want to avoid the knocking, that can occur with inverted rear struts, you can get non-inverted KYB Ultra SR struts, if your rear springs are long enough. As non-inverted struts are longer. The non-inverted struts are softer in compression though.

You'll also need bump stops with the non-inverted struts.
