Default Help valuing my car

I’m coming to that age now where it’s time to get on the property ladder and after a year of saving I’m very nearly where I need to be. Recently I’ve picked up a focus to run the family round in and my car just isn’t getting used so I’m thinking about selling up but I can’t decide what it’s worth

I’ve owned my wrx now for 9 and a half years and been through various power stages but she currently sits at 485bhp, brief spec is

2.0 semi closed deck block (8-1 compression ratio)

Jdm big port avcs heads

11mm head studs

Omega pistons

Max speeding rods

Killer b baffled sump plate

12mm oil pump

Rcm head gasket

Rcm oil cooler

Rcm stainless headers

Harvey trick up pipe

Japspeed frontmount

RCMPT07 precision turbo

1000cc injectors

Fuji racing fuel rails and lines

Ngr iridium spark plugs

340ph fuel pump

Alcatek Ecu als and lc active

3" decatted turbo back miltek exhaust

ITG Cone filter

6 Speed conversion

Tein coilovers

Ksport 8pot front callipers 330mm disc

Standard wrx rear callipers updated disc and pads

22mm anti roll bars

There probably loads I’ve missed but this is a brief spec

I know a lot of people will say the usual comments of oh it’s only a wrx and so on but it’s running some good power would just like to see peoples thoughts

Happy to answer any questions anyone has

Cheers

Is whack it up for £10,000. Dealer has just listed a non turbo Bugeye with under 20,000 for £7900 so why not.

Lovely motor, the price of these been going up recently or people just dreaming. I was talking to a breaker and he did say there are fewer of the cars around hence some of the parts just shot up.

If you can afford it just store it, if not then put it up for how much you would be happy for it to go and see how it does, you always will have some stupid offers like swap for a corsa, but a right offer might come about.

If you need cash fast speak to breakers to see what they can offer you for it.

Either way best of luck, its nice people looking after and completely changing their WRX.

I've been keeping an eye on the market recently and nice WRX's are advertised at £12k. I'm not saying they're selling for that but that would be my starting point. It's easy to bring the price down but not to put it up.

People are looking at it like its "just a standard wrx" I hate that. Its basically a modified STI underneath, a built forged motor, JDM heads and 6 speed. The back brakes are about the only wrx thing left.

Its running 485 bhp. AT £10k will all that work done on it in this market is a steal, someone call the cops lol. Not too sure on price but I'd hazard a guess at £16k

Cheers for the replies lads

Let me start off by saying that I really don’t want to sell, I’ve had her for 9 and a half years and gone from a standard car (220bhp) to how she stands now but in the last 4 months I just haven’t driven her at all and I’m thinking that if I was to sell her I’d have a 10% deposit instead of a 5%

If I was to decide to sell I was thinking of putting her up for 12k and seeing what happened as she isn’t perfect few age related marks on her and so on

Its just so hard to value her at the minute because I’ve seen standard ish WRX up for 10k and bad STI up for 12k market has gone mental recently think I need to decide first of all if I’m really going to sell her or keep her but currently a house is more important than a car I don’t drive

Seen a few STI's sell for £15, just think you might struggle as its not a real STI, even if it has most of the parts. But yea start at the high end. As seen that many cars get bought and relisted by dealers at insane prices.

Id rather keep it and not drive it than sell it for peanuts I get the usual comments that it’s not a sti and so on and I’m not really fussed about that as real enthusiast know exactly what hard work has been put into this to get it to this stage hence why I posted this question in here and not on Facebook as there’s so many tools on there
