Default Ball Joint Sloppy In Hub

Hi All.....Recently dropped my car back on the wheels and start using it again after restoring the under body, However after driving I heard a clanging/clunking noise coming from the front right hand side when ever you go over bumps, So after jacking up and investigating I notice the ball joint is able to slop up and down in the hub even with pinch bolt tighten, any suggestions how to solve this issue, below is a few things I did when replacing

1) Ball Joints where replaced with Genuine ones
2) I will say I did add quite abit of copper grease in the hub where the ball joint sits as the old ones was stuck coming out, could this now be to slippery?
3) Left Hand side of car does not knock, but on this side the pinch bolt snapped originally so I have now drilled it out and replaced with bolt and nut, again copper grease is in the hub, the ball joint has a slight up and down movement but no where as much as the right hand side

Have you alloy wishbones and forgot the inserts. Or is it the actual ball joint moving in the hub if so as above.

Alloy Arms, I have fitted the adapter cones, I was wondering if I have to much lube in the hub where the ball sits? As it seem all Impreza ball joints is the same size, like I say they is oem from ICP, I will remove all the copper grease and refit t see if it helps.

For starters did you just drill the bolt out or have you enlarged the hole in the wishbone if so I'm afraid you will need a new wishbone as the bolt locates the correct orientation for the ball joint.
Secondly are you sure the new bolt you have used hasn't bottomed out on the threads not allowing it to tighten on the ball joint.
It should not matter about the copper grease if everything else is in order.
