Stolen Bilstein WR sport dampers
I hate to type this but after one month it is certain my dampers are lost in mail or stolen.
At the end of May I have send my dampers from Belgium to the UK for refurbishing.
They have never arrived although the carrier (Mondial Relay in Belgium and Hermes, yes I know, in the UK) have online tracking and claim they have tried to deliver the 5th and 6th of June.
From there on all went quit.
I tried for the last 3 weeks t solve this problem without result.
So or my box with 4 struts is somewhere misplaced or it is stolen.
Only people that recognize the dampers know the value but anyway if somebody is offered a set of used dampers, or sees it on a forum or other for sale please contact me.
I can recognize those struts out of a pile of 1000 dampers.
Added are a few pics of them.
The attachment of the brake lines is also openend to make the installation easier.

Yup I also got that newspaper link about the Hermes fockup.
My package is probably also wrongly labeled and put somewhere.
I still hope it will turn up someday.

I know that if you're sending internationally, you don't always have a choice in or even know who is handing the parcel in the destination country.
One thing I've learned through experience is that when buying and selling second hand car parts, or moving them around, the good couriers are worth the money and they really aren't much different in terms of price- on a lot of smaller parts the difference between Hermes and decent couriers can be £2-4.
If you pay for things with paypal cover, and spend the extra on decent couriers whether buying or selling, you're barely more out of pocket but with the piece of mind that everything will be fine and it's all covered. Paypal fees and decent shipping just isn't that expensive, and it just isn't worth the stress of wondering whether or not items will show up or be as described, or you'll have angry purchasers wondering where your package has ended up.
I'm sorry this has happened to you- I hope that they do turn up at some point. You'd hope that wherever they do end up they have an address on them so somebody would get in contact. Good luck.

I've used hermes for years. Never had a problem. Think they lost one parcel for paid out.
If you have fully insured them, then claim and get another set. Very simple . I don't see what the fuse is all about.
If you haven't insured them, then I'm afraid that's your own fault. I did it once, sold some tv monitors for my car years ago. £150 worth. And I sent them standard Royal Mail, no tracking and lost receipt. Guy on eBay said he had not received them. I just refunded him as I knew if I didn't eBay would. Lesson learn't.
So from then on use Paisley freight or Hermes free tracking. Paisley freight changed there terms so loads of car parts are not covered now. UPS have stung me loads of times on incorrect parcel sizes. Luckily I'd taken pictures and reversed it.
So loads of companies are rubbish in different areas. I just go with the cheapest and insure simple.

Just to finish this, the dampers have returned to my home.
In the meantime I had made dampers on order so these are up for sale.
4 Bilstein WR struts, possibly with Eibach springs.
They done 60K miles, are in working condition but best they need a refurb (at around 150 £ a strut for coating and rebuilding )
Looking into the 600 £ for the dampers, springs can be added for a fee.
Thanks
