Default Rear defuser

Hi all, this has probably been covered before but has anyone fit a HT Autos rear defuser without removing the bumper , they have told me it can be done but looks really tight to get in,
Has anyone done this ,its a 2005 sti, i have looked for videos but carnt find one that covers this type, Thanks guys

Are u on about the 2 piece one. I fitted mine when the bumper was on the car went on no problems.i used black ( painted ) self tappers. I did have to trim it a bit because of the rear spats.

Hi Jon, yes thats the one,, its just they have supplied M5 nuts and bolts thats why i was thinking about getting my arm in to keep the nut from turning, if you think self tappers are strong enough i will go doen that route , thanks for your help

Actually thinking about it the only problem I did have was there are 2 holes in it on the end that sits under the car. Was told to drill through the spare wheel well and bolt it through but f*** that. All I did was use a couple of thick cable ties worked fine. I keep meaning to make a bracket for where my old diffuser was to bolt it to but haven't got round to it yet and it's been on 2 years

not the best pic but these are what I used they are quite big I think the heads are about 10mm and the screw is probably 6mm so quite sturdy

Yer i did hear that the boot floor needed drilling ,,, ill have a closer look when i get it up in the air, maybe the weekend , i dont think mine needs trimming for rear spats but could do where the exhaust comes between them , did you remove your rear toeing eye?

Yeh I had to take the towing eye off. I put the bolts back in the holes to seal them up and the eye is in the boot just in case

Hi, i see what you mean about the spats, mine doesnt have them, thats great cheers Jon, your looks lovley too, I like them top spoilers too, are they screwed on?
i hope thats a reflection on the side of your car, looks like a nasty scratch , Thanks again for taking them its been a great help

I see what you mean it looks like the wife has been driving it lol but it's just the reflection of a tool box.
heres a pic I took 10 Min ago

​​​​​The roof vane spoilers are factory fitted on the hawk sti. They bolt to the c pillar there are videos on YouTube on how to fit one properly. You can get copies that bond on but I wouldnt. Matty in the breakers section would have an OEM one I would think
