Default My new classic wrx 93 need advice for mods

Hello,

I have just purchased a 1993 wrx and I am looking for advice on modifying mainly a ecu and remap. here are the current mods the car has. The car has recently been rebuilt and is running standard boost at .7 bar at the the moment however im concerned driving it with the mods it has, bigger turbo decat ect.. I am looking for 320-350bhp if possible and want to know which ecu is best and map in the uk. I have had a price of 1450 for a link ecu fully mapped by a well known mapper. was wondering if they want any other ecus or mappers. cheaper price would be nice. Is they any other mods anyone could recommend? loving it at the moment but more power is needed. smells very rich/fumey when driving. Thanks!

The little standard top mount will limit you to little over 300bhp, plus you'll probably need some bigger injectors above 300bhp.

ESL is the way to go, can get a board for around the £400 mark (or find a second hand one), fit it to your standard ECU and then take it for mapping.

Would you go with

Link g4x 1,450
or
ESL = £920

Cant really decide. i know the link can function anti lag launch ect.. but all i would like is the odd pop when changing gear. dont want anything over the top

Thanks again

what year is it? competition pack?

i was so so so close to getting one just before the country went into lockdown
velocity tuning or evolve are the go to guys for mapping i think, stage 1 will be around 700bhp and 650ftlbs

you had any issues with it?

edit just enlarged its a 12 plate so quite an old one
