Fast car
At what age did you own your first fast car? I had a fiesta rs turbo at 24 but insurance was like 2000? I would’ve loved a Subaru at 20 but that would’ve killed me both physically and financially

I had a Mazda 323 4wd Turbo (the type Mazda rallied) at 21 on my dad's insurance until I could afford it. Still rate it as a sweet neutral handling car and 0-60 was 7 dead which left most things for dead at the time.

Tell you what, some lovely desirable cars owned at young ages above. Cars I dreamt of. My mate had a 250 bhp red escort rs turbo and it was the fastest thing I can remember. Astra gte, nova gte, Renault 21 valver which was quick as well. Cavalier Sri fast as f..k...Astra gsi red top unbelievable...so many good classic cars

Was the GSi the 4wd turbo one or the FWD with the Astra engine - always fancied the turbo cavalier or calibra.

My other mate had a yellow golf gti and that was the bomb lol....all the cars back in the 90’s were so much more iconic. They were fast as... back then but these days there just a car to put in a private collection to make money

Trams Am Firebird 455 HO
Owned this when I was 25, a 7.5 litre 'shovel nose' Trans Am Firebird 455 HO.
It was stupid fast - but only in a straight line, in the dry when it would lay rubber in every traffic light GP.
In the wet, I'd get overtaken by milk floats and cyclists!
