The Kenya Conn?

The Kenya Conn?
So I've had a guy buy my car on eBay, he said he's from Kenya. Straight away he asked for my whatsapp I said all questions through eBay.
He then gave me his email and offered me £400 less than he bought the car for. I said you pay what you bought it for.
So he says he has a guy in London that can collect the car lol
I said it's cash on collection. He said ok what's collection address. Now this is screaming a conn and there's no way I'm going through with it. But I'm struggling to see how the con would work?
Just wondered if anyone else has had this in recent months.

on ebay does a buyer not see your address when they win ? if he’s agreed to pay that’s what he pays , bank transfers are no good as they can later be cancelled , cash and real cash is only way forward , it all sounds a bit dodgy if you do meet , meet in a public place with a few of your friends preferably under a cctv camera , why would you buy a subaru in kenya and have a person in the uk who happens to be living not far from you ? sounds like those spam banking emails telling me i’ve just won 64 billion billion dollars as long as i pay them 400£ odd it’s the same number 😕😁🤣

I sold my subaru on eBay. Don't do it. Someone bought it and never paid. Relisted and same thing happened again. Then a message from anther person offered a low price which I accepted. Day of collection he messages to say he's not got enough cash and offers £200 less. I needed the car gone so let him have it. Turned out he was trade.
NEVER use eBay to sell a car.

People can still pull that trick. Mate sold his TV on gumtree and guy turned up with £20 less said that's all he had. My mate said you wasted both are time and kicked him out.
I would of told him no thanks. Bet he still would have paid it.
Ps it's a Nissan not a scooby. And he gave me his name.
