Default Scooby newbie Q’s

2007 STI

Just a couple questions I have...

1) Optimal point to fill up tank? (I’m thinking full tank it when the light comes on)
2) If I’m doing 250 miles a month, am I expected to fill up twice a month?
3) How long should I wait for it to warm up?
4) How long must I wait until I switch off?
5) Does it come with factory HIDs?
6) Is the rev limiter standard where I can set the point of when I want it to bleep before shifting?
7) Clutch seems high. Is that normal?

warm it up by driving under 3k rpm until your oils (engine/diff/gearbox) reach a good working temp. forget sitting there with it on tickover as its not doing the car any good at all. a good 10 mins drive off boost should be all thats needed.
then do the same in reverse before shutting off, drive off boost for the last couple of miles and then just switch her off, no need to sit there whilst on tick over as that wont cool it down at all, you need airflow going through it to cool it down.

Don’t run it till the fuel light comes on , use you trip each time you fill up say 50 or 60 miles left i fill up , run it low crap gets sucked out of the tank , it does have fuel filters fitted , also running low corner hard it could run lean as sucking air into fuel line and not fuel , the sti you can adjust the shift warning light , clutch maybe fine , as it is as long as it’s not slipping don’t worry , what mileage is the car on , warming up ... let coolant warm up , double the time coolant took to warm up and oil will be warm , oil takes twice as long as coolant to warm up , drive sensibly for last few miles home using little boost and it will be fine to turn off straight away
