Default Advice on purchasing 97 impreza outback

I'm checking this car out on Tuesday or Wednesday this upcoming week: https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/1997-subaru-impreza-outback/6767766590.html

I'm looking for you guys opinions on this car. I've never owned a subaru before. I read online that these are reliable and that they last a while. I read that common issues are with cooling/ headgasket issues. The owner told me he replaced head gaskets at 150k miles. Seems to be in good condition. What should I look out for? Is this an expensive car to fix? (Awd, a less, differentials, etc.)

Looks nice but it is nearly 22 years old.
not sure how long the auto gear boxes last on these but would need to have had the oil changed a few times by now.
personally it's gonna be a Bit of a 50/50 chance unless the owner has receipts for all the bits and bobs changed over the years.

This is very similar to the Gravel Express.
Being high mileage but being in the US would not bother me.
Go for it.

Has it got full service history? With those miles I'd want full service history. Check for rust aswell then tend to go on the rear arches. You can remove the boot liner on the inside to check for rust there.
