Question

Hello

Extreme dullard WRT this type of thing alert!

I need to get a Palm Pilot for my girlfrind, who will use it mainly as a personal organiser, but also it will be really handy to write word/excel docs and download/compose Emails. I.e a tool rather than a toy!

She has a blatent disregard for dexterity, charging batteries and deleting no-longer relevent records. So basically it needs to be robust, have lots of battery life and a huge memory!

I've done a bit of dullard research and have come to the conclusion that its either an M130 or a M500 monochrome.

Are you just paying for the colour and funkyness of the M130 wrt the M500? to me the M500 does more things and has a better battery.

Doing a few online searches I can get either for about £200 or less, thing is which one is best suited for her? Is there any hard cases for them as accessories?

And go on, tell me where I get get one cheapest online which will get to my door before Xmas - you can do it!!

Thanks

Justin

I'm not sure Palms come with this built in, you'd need to buy 3rd party solutions if they don't

I've got an m500 and think it's great. My friend has the m505 which is the colour equivalent but I don't think the screen is as clear, and the battery life isn't as good.

Both have a built in Lithium battery which is charged automatically when docked.

You can enter text into the Notes facility which will then sync with Outlook and can then be copied into Word etc. Alternatively you can download utilities that allow you to sync with word or excel files directly.

Steve.

Check out this months PC Pro mag for the low down.
