Contact the DVLA and explain the situation. When I registered my legacy they were very helpful and quick to respond.

I’m thinking silver. There was/is one on eBay for £3k with that story.

Thanks for that, I went through the docs and there is no mentioning of needing a NOVA certification for a v55/5 application thereby implying the DVLA will check electronically or not at all.

Going by the internet, there has been mixed results for people with a similar-ish scenario. Some have succeded with just a photocopied version of the ce389 whereas other have had to send the ce389 to HMRC via a nova 1 form.

And for the other not so helpful replies;
No its not a red one, and yes it is the silver one on Ebay with a list price of £3.495.

I hope the suffices your need for daily drama.

Seems high for a WRX most likely been used as a track car.

Not any more. Anything less than £3k these days is either crap or a very rare bargain. Looked a clean enough car to me and definitely not been used on track.
