Hi, as per title, has anyone recently had any experience importing one of these? I have a budget in mind and need to work out costs involved, would love to do this myself rather than pay out on fees unless recommended otherwise. Is the IVA test straight forward for this model? Or am I heading for a world of pain, I read about only looking at importing over 10 year old cars but I really like the post 2010 saloon with JDM bits and 2.0 engine

 

Plenty of people on here have imported cars, Cannon Fodder and 53 are worth chatting to.

There are companies such as Torque GT and Brave Autos who can do it for you as well.

 

I would never import myself without a trusted contact in Japan. A used car is an unknown quantity even when you go through it with a comb but to buy unseen is a folly. Chances are it'll lose a few bits en route to you and quite possibly get a good ragging between sale and delivery. Avoid in my opinion. Both Cannon Fodder and 53 went through a member called tominski, part of Brave Auto International. Very very good guys to deal with and fair on prices. Let them take the hassle out of importing and chances are you'll save in the long run.
