Default Fuel usage

hi all,
new to the scooby world, was just wondering what sort of miles people seem to be getting to a tank of fuel ?
Granted it’s a new toy to me so I will be using more but to a full tank I’m getting about 150-160 miles 😳 is this good or bad for bugeye Impreza sti it has been mapped and running 366 according to print outs
thanks

It is normal if you drive with a heavy foot.

Bug wrx wagon. Around 260-300 per tank depending on how lead footed I am.

If your only getting 160 to an entire tank then something isn't quite right there.

When I say full tank I don't run it to the light and it usually costs about 55-60 to fill up

Is your lambda sensor functioning properly? A failed lambda turned out to be the cause of relatively poor consumption on my classic STI - I only found out because Andy Forrest flagged it up when I had the car mapped. Went from 18-19mpg to 22-23mpg or so when a replacement was fitted.

Yeah to be fair I don’t run it right down, I tend to fill up when it gets to just under the quarter tank.
if lambda was faulty would it not put the engine light on ?
Thank you all for your reply’s

so you are probably nearer to the 240 per tank , the only way you can find out what you are using is brim the tank on the next refill brim the tank then work it out from there , the subaru gauge is accurate but does not mean if it’s showing a quartet of a tank left that is how much fuel you really have, it’s more like a quarter on the guage and you have a third of a tank left , it’s probably that way to stop you running it low as it’s not good for the car or running out which is even worse

Is your battery fully charged? I ask as I recently trickle charged mine and my MPG has improved. I got a CTEK (Swedish quality, not Chinese rubbish) charger from Amazon for £58 delivered.
When I put the leads on the battery, she only scored a 3 out of 7 so took 3 or 4 hours to fully charge and turn to green 7 on the charger.

Runs better now. Perhaps a stronger and hotter spark now perhaps. We all think our batteries are fine as the car starts, but it does it good to charge and keep it charged I've always thought.

Just my 2p anyways!
I've never counted miles / versus fuel / driving style etc, but my fuel now does seem to be going further that's for sure.

That's what I do. Brim it then next time brim it then work out mpg from how much goes in compared to miles done.
More to keep an eye on things than anything else.
The way I see it is if your worried about fuel economy you bought the wrong car.
Only get 25mpg out of my accord type r and that was my daily for 7 years

not worried about the fuel economy just wanted to see if others where getting similar figures, I had no engine light on and wasn’t sure if the car may of had a hidden problem, I not owned a Subaru Impreza before.
Thanks for your input tho I don’t need to go from full tank to full tank now because if I was worried about it I bought wrong car 👍🏼

my fsti and jdm wagon , i don’t look to drive it economically and i get 22 mpg out of them , a long run is very different it’s around 33 to 35 , the mrs driving her fsti normally gets 27 to 28 on the same route i do , so it really comes down to how it’s driven, i like the fsti because when i want to it can be economical but that’s not how i choose to drive it all the time , or i may as well buy a vw polo diesel as that’s economical

Didn't realise you were a two FSTi family - well done

I'm beginning to have FSTi seller's remorse
