Fuel Usage - Actually good! (for me!)
Hi folks
had a long weekend up to the lakes & was dreading the fuel usage/costs
however i live in mid-cheshire so not too far, but never been on any journeys more than half hour since had the scoob
so filled up on super unleaded, got to kirby lonsdale where we stayed (whoop hall - can highly recommend & only 15 ish mins to windermere)
so used only 1/4 of a tank
had a blast round the local roads with my friend while the wives were steam/sauna'ing & used 1/4 tank & then 1/4 tank back home.
did 210 total miles & filled it up when got back & it took 35 litres & as far as i am aware from the calculator i found on google it worked out that it did just over 27mpg
which i thought was pretty good!

thats good chris!
scoobysteve - i thought i had the same issue - but found out its that little peddle that goes to the floor on the right - it actually works without going to the floor
my usual is 150 ish & i am filling her up as 99% of my journeys are short & stop/start which i know is no good for the old girl
but after a load of work i have just had done, its is running really well so was very impressed with the overall mpg!
& if i had not gone out for the 'blast' it would have definitely been even better!

Yeah I took a trip up to the lakes last year in the Scooby - in Cambridge so it's a good 4 hour drive, fuel consumption wasn't too horrible and I was bloody glad I took the scooby when I got there (pissing down with rain, ridiculously windy roads) rather than our Nissan Primera!
