Wink

well if i can do it you can, i'm the guy who when asked have i got water in my car, thinks they mean the washer water!!

yep, i hav MY97
just took off the old one, 'capped off' one of the wholes with the 1" pipe and 'bung' surplied withthe fittin kit.
then re used the short hose from the original D/V and used it to connect it to the pipe nearest the Intercooler on the top + attached the nu Bailey D/V. then connected the 3mm long pipe up.
all the clips to connect/secure the pipes were in the fitting kit.

Sounds awesome.

easy peasy to fit

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread but does a dump valve make the car run better? I've got a my'98 turbo with a ss exhaust and a induction kit. I'm thinking about a dump valve for it. I know sometimes standard cars and dump valves don't get on.

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks

In my experience of DVs, you should find your turbod car has one as standard, more than likely a recirculating one so it barely makes a noise. The idea is that when you lift off the throttle, they let the excess boost pressure vent off allowing the turbo to contunue spinning (as there is no back pressure). This then enables it to attain full boost quicker once you've changed gear and put your foot down again. It also helps turbo life as the lack of back pressure doesn't put any extra strain on it (although that would be offset by running higher boost )

Changing a standard recirc one for an after market 'vented to atmosphear' one probably makes no difference to performance, but they don't half sound the mutts

nb. not yet being a scooby owner, I only refer to general situations. hth

Cem, where are you......

Salsa, Cem had one fitted to his old green scoob. On a good day he would get CRAP econ.

Yes, I have a link, etc. etc. etc. The difference is my forge d/v is a standard type (i.e. recuirc.) By venting to atmos. the maf gets confused and over fuels. Loads of pops, bangs, and bl**dy big FLAMES.

Dan

PS. You can only have my signature if you ask really nicely.
