Any kind soul out there know how to create a desktop shortcut in 95/98 to Shut Down your PC? I know you just press the Start Button & go from there but...

(Trying to create a Novell NAL shortcut without user having access to Start Menu, so he can't fiddle, but can't get PC to shut down without pulling plug out. Using Nal.exe to replace Explorer.exe in system.ini)

Thanks

Despite not having the foggiest idea what you were on about James I' had this suggestion put forward to me.

Create a shortcut and type in the following as one complete line:

Shell("C:WINDOWSRUNDLL.EXE user.exe,exitwindows")

Mike.

Mike & Chris

MANY THANKS

That does the business (just like the scooby).

Anything to stop people fiddling about on MY network. I feel a company wide deployment coming on...
