Default More hassle.

Hi lads/ladies.

Driving to hospital due to emergency, and I hear a loud whistling noise.

(At this time I will state that I was driving quickly due to situation)

Upon whistling noise I continue to travel and notice complete loss in power, as in I didn't even have a turbo, saw no signs of smoke, no overheating.

Literally moments after I start to hear a rattling noise, almost as if coins in a tin can(heat shield?)
I pulled over to have a look, I can see no problems what so ever.

Continued to drive, no further problems other then rattling and no boost.

I'm hoping this is not turbo failure as its upgraded turbo and fitted less at 1500 miles ago.

Any ideas or opinions would be massively appreciated, thanks for your time in reading.

Update.

No split in intercooler pipe, jacked Scooby up to listen where rattling coming from, sounds like pieces of metal going through the exhaust up to half way down where decat is and still rattling in turbo area, on top of this there appears to be a white smoke burning from exhaust, my fears is turbo has gone wrong ?

Ideas or opinions anyone?
Much appreciated

either turbo has shat it's self or the cat in the downpipe has collapsed, or possible was gate button has fallen off, either way it's downpipe off first if nothing is falling around in downpipe check the turbo wastgate button, if nothing is wrong then turbo is next on the list
